Shane and I have worked together on multiple occasions and remained good friends as well. I thoroughly enjoy working with Shane, and can honestly say he would be a truly valuable asset to any team. He is honest, professional, incredibly talented as well as hard-working. He is an excellent songwriter, songwriting-coach and mentor. His knowledge and expertise in songwriting and music composition has changed the lives of many of his students worldwide.

His wonderful approach in music education is incomparable. His main goal is to always empower writers and musicians to raise the bar. Doing this becomes simple through his unique writing techniques.Shane has been a blessing in my career as well as so many other artists. He’s an absolute joy to work with, a true team player, and always manages to foster positive discussions and bring the best out of others.

My experience with working with “Uncle Shane,” as many of the fellow students of Berklee warmly call him, has been a safe, “home base,” for me as an artist. He not only has the education and tools to develop artists, but has a very fun, positive, and nurturing way of delivering constructive criticism to help an artist blossom into their best self.

Every artist has their own process of approaching songwriting and I have been fortunate to have experienced the guidance, enthusiasm, inspiration and mentorship of Shane Adams.

I would highly recommend him to any artist, music school, and conference looking for a professional to guide and inspire them.

I want to highly recommend Mr. Shane Adams as one of the best songwriting teachers we have ever had the pleasure of working with. (Shane) visited our institution and taught songwriting private lessons to 60 of our most distinguished students (plus more than 200 students as a group), we can confirm that he is one of the most prepared and willing mentors we’ve had.

We were extremely happy to work with him, not only because he has demonstrated to be one of the most qualified songwriting coaches of today, but also because he is an incredible human being, who supported all of students and encouraged them to keep pursuing their dreams and goals. It has to be said that for us in Mexico, having the visit of a great mentor such as Shane, has been one of the best things that has happened to our institution. He has become part of IVT’s family, not only as an instructor, but also as one of the best friends we’ve had.

Through much Googling and research I discovered Shane and arranged a day of one-on-one songwriting and mentoring (for my then, 15 year old daughter Lili).  That, one day turned into many.

Shane shared with us much industry knowledge, which has helped set Lili on the path of a music career.

Shane made us feel comfortable and supported from the very beginning.  We have found Shane to always be respectful and genuine in our dealings.  We never felt pressured or nervous about anything that he suggested.  He always listened and gave considered and reasonable responses.  Shane obviously has a great rapport with people of all ages and abilities, evidenced through his interactions with my husband and myself as well as with our teenage daughter.  We would never hesitate to contact Shane and I’m sure that Lili will be in touch with him again on her next trip to Nashville.

We are a family who had never been involved in the music industry and we consider ourselves very fortunate to have found Shane, who has proven to be great mentor for Lili and us.

I not only trust Shane implicitly, I also greatly admire his humility, his ability to communicate positively, his sincere desire to foster and maintain rewarding professional relationships, and his integrity in doing all he can to provide the best service he can to those he works with.

Fulfilling our needs and wants, even at the expense of his personal time to “fix” something for us, was paramount to him. Working with Shane is not only one of the most rewarding professional relationships I have, but also one of the safest.

If there is one word I can attribute to Shane, it’s this: giving: He pours his life and empowering energy into his work, transforming those around him.

Shane distills a lifetime of songwriting into a concise format, that enables artists to grow instantly and have material left over to digest for months and years to come.

My standards are extremely high and there are few individuals I could recommend unequivocally for anything.

Shane is a consummate professional with extraordinary organizational skills. He is an amazing teacher and demonstrates patience and understanding, and…puts his heart and soul into everything he undertakes.

Shane’s way of bringing out the best in everyone comes from conviction, morals, and most important his own personal integrity. He genuinely cares about his students and clients and their successes.

Message from Shane:

I have the greatest clients in the world, and it is (selfishly!) incredibly gratifying to read such kind words and compliments from these creative giants whom I love and respect so much. However, after seeing this page and reading these ridiculously humbling testimonials, I feel it disingenuous and untruthful to claim that ALL my clients have had a perfect experience with me. In addition to soaring successes, there have definitely been bumps and bruises along the way.

Beware of the individual in the music industry who claims to have made no mistakes. No individual and/or production company is perfect, especially dealing with the myriad of temperaments and dispositions of creative types. All fighters can fall, but true gladiators rise from misfortune, learn from mistakes, rectify and indemnify those distressed, and (most importantly) adapt and modify their methodology. I’m happy to discuss my (embarrassing!) missteps and mistakes as much as my accomplishments if it helps bring you and the world closer to having more better music.

Whether working with me or others, always demand transparency. Ask questions, ask questions, ask questions!

With much love and respect,

Shane Adams
